This gas engine kit was asked for many times, so now we are offering it also.
This fits the Small Block Chevy (SBC) and Big Block Chevy (BBC) engines and LS engines. Fit most gasoline Chevy and GMC with the V8 rear wheel drive bolt pattern and automatic transmission, Also 4.3 V6 rear wheel drive.
If you have a manual transmission, it could still work but you may need to adjust and overcome linkage and or hydraulic throw-out bearing adjustments.
The kit has been updated to include a gear reduction starter now! (the video below shows the old starter. It is basically the same install, just easier now!)
The new starter is more powerful and smaller so can fit in more applications. A couple customers used them on 4.3 fork lifts ( you may need to do addition fabrication to fit a fork lift?).
If you have the gasoline Chevy/GMC rear wheel drive large bolt/bell housing as seen in this listing this kit should work for you.
It is for 168/153 tooth flex plate/flywheels only.
Its pretty common that the original starter cast iron mounting cracks or a chunk breaks off the block leaving you with no way to mount a starter.
The solution was to have a expensive welded repair attempted that might not even hold up or! replace the whole block/engine. With this kit you can now relocate your starter as seen in the video.
